Château La Tour Figeac, Grand Cru Classé 2016

La Tour Figeac is located in a prime spot of Saint-Émilion. The prestigious Château Cheval Blanc sits to the east and Château Figeac is just south – so it’s in good company for producing some of the finest reds on the Right Bank. Technical director Christine Derenoncourt has been producing incredible wines here for over 20 years. She’s renowned for her work – and especially for working biodynamically in the vineyard. One of my long-term favourite wines from the right bank, Chateau La Tour Figeac always produces high-quality wines at great prices. Expect a delicious balance between fruity flavours and savoury notes, with rich flavours of forest fruits leading to a long, spicy liquorice finish.
