Donnhoff Krotenpfuhl Riesling Grosses Gewachs 2018

Krotenphuhl means frog pond. Pebbly soils. Very floral and fine, with lime blossom, amazing tension and texture and very saline, too. Lovely purity and precision, with plenty of drive and texture, here. Really delicate, elegant, and floral. Charming and playful.

 A dense and very intense white with a tight ball of fruit, yet driven and linear acidity. Superb depth and focus. Needs a few years to come out completely, but already energetic. Transparency in the bottle. Better after 2021.  (9/2019)
