The Chapel, based on the hills of Hermitage reigns over the Rhone Valley. In the thirteenth century, back from the Crusades, it welcomes the Knights of Stérimberg. Later she became the flagship of the family, the Hermitage La Chapelle, offering tasters of great feelings. 

The 1961 vintage will be ranked among the Twelve bottles legendary twentieth century, including a few bottles and magnums still slumbering in Jaboulet cellars and some of the world .... For almost two centuries, the company has offered consumers a product of old-world craftsmanship placing excellence at the heart of its strategy. To perpetuate these values, the company strengthens this legacy as the vineyards with new acquisitions on the quality of wines in an environmentally.

The name of the Hermitage "La Chapelle" is linked to the little chapel of Saint Kitts overlooking the vineyard terraces overlooking the Rhone. Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné is the sole owner since 1919. The diversity of terroir "famous places", gives the wine a unique identity through the assembly of different plots. The Syrah is planted on soils rich and varied with a wide variety of soils (the Bessards the Greffieux the Méal and Rocoules).
