Wirra Wirra Dead Ringer Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
Wirra Wirra Dead Ringer Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
Deep violet with a red rim. Fresh cassis and blackcurrants with wild blackberry fruits on the nose. Leather, briary notes and anise with cedar complement the fruits.
Lovely rich cassis and blackcurrant fruits in the mouth provide a long and persistent palate with 'classic McLaren Vale Cabernet' mid-palate richness.
Beautifully balanced with fine tannins and structure.
Very beautiful, rich and elegant wine created from small batches of Cabernet Sauvignon grown in different parts of the winery. After a cold soak to extract maximum colour, which usually lasts 2-3 days, the grapes are fermented with regular compression to achieve an optimum balance of tannins. Malolactic fermentation of grapes from each plot is made separately in oak barrells specially selected. With 19-month aging in French oak barrels the wine is also divided on the sites. The storage capacity "Dead Ringer" is 15 years. More: https://winestyleonline.com
